Description

Join us in the long-time-coming revival of Standard at Blackheart Games by bridging the gap of singleton and throwing down with some Constructed Brawl!

Brawl is a 60-card Singleton format (w/ 10 Card Sideboard) that features a Legendary Creature or Planeswalker in the Command Zone using cards that are currently in the Standard Rotation. (https://whatsinstandard.com/)

With only 1 copy of each required, it's a great way of getting into some 1v1 play without having to track down playsets of cards - all while still having the structure of a commander & colour identity!

Matches are Best of 3, 1v1. With a minimum of 3 Rounds of games! (More players, more rounds!)
(Matches are paired using the Swiss system - pitting players of equal standing against each other for balanced & exciting games!

$25 Entry (includes 1 Standard Booster on Entry)
Prizing!:
Participation: Chromatic Sphere
Top Cut: Reality Smasher
Winner: Void Winnower

Additional bonus prizes and promos on the night!

Standard Brawl Deck Specifics:
903.12b Brawl decks are constructed using cards from the Standard format. The Standard Banlist applies

903.12c A player designates either a legendary planeswalker or a legendary creature as their commander.

903.12d A player’s deck must contain exactly 60 cards, including its commander. In other words, the minimum deck size and the maximum deck size are both 60.

903.12e If a player’s commander has no colors in its color identity, that player’s deck may contain any number of basic lands of one basic land type of their choice.

903.12f In a two-player Brawl game, each player’s starting life total is 25.

903.12g In any Brawl game, the first mulligan a player takes doesn’t count toward the number of cards that player will put on the bottom of their library or the number of mulligans that player may take. Subsequent mulligans are counted toward these numbers as normal.

903.12h Brawl games do not cause a player to lose the game if they’ve been dealt 21 or more combat damage by a commander.
